An Evening With Rod Ellingworth – Wednesday 11 November
We are delighted to announce An Evening With Rod Ellingworth which will be taking place on Wednesday 11 November from 6:30pm for a 7.00pm start at Hampton Court Golf Club, probably wrapping up around 8:30-9.00pm.
Rod shall be interviewed about his roots in the sport, his move into coaching and his subsequent work with British Cycling, Team GB and Team Sky. He will also be taking questions from the floor about his work and coaching in general. This is very much an informal evening of conversation and questions; it won’t be about powerpoint slides and power stats, but more about the bigger picture and putting it all together.
You may also be interested to read Rod’s book Project Rainbow which covers much of his career and specifically his role in laying the ground for Mark Cavendish’s World Road Race Championship win in 2011.
The evening is promoted by Kingston Wheelers in association with Sigma Sport and London Dynamo. There is a paying bar at the golf club and it may be possible to buy light snacks in the golf club bar between 6-7pm but there will be no catering as such.
We are really thrilled to secure Rod for this event as he only does a handful of grass roots events per year, as such we must stress that places are limited and this is for first claim club members only. Tickets are available on a first come first served basis for a subsidised rate of £10 each.
To get your tickets just log into the membership area of the website at http://www.kingstonwheelers.co.uk and visit the shop to buy tickets: Member Area > Shop > Club Shop > click on the “Events” tab.
